In Irion, we believe that success does not come only from tools and technologies, but above all from people. Skills are fundamental, of course, but what truly makes the difference are the bonds we build every day, mutual trust, and the ability to grow together.
We recently experienced this with a day in the mountains organized by one of our managers. The idea was simple: to enjoy some leisure after weeks packed with updates and deadlines. No structured team building plan, no rigid program—just the desire to spend time together. But, as often happens, spontaneity gave rise to something greater.
Not just exercises, but memories
During the outing, a moment of team games was also included, initially met with a bit of skepticism. Yet, amid laughter, small challenges, and unexpected group dynamics, the activity turned out to be surprising: everyone took part with enthusiasm, and each person brought home something positive. Not so much the “lesson” of an exercise, but the joy of a shared moment that strengthened the group’s bond.
Strong relationships, inside and outside the office
This experience also confirmed another important aspect: the team’s relationships are healthy, transparent, and built on trust. The true value is that, outside the office, barriers and roles fall away, and sides of people are revealed that remain hidden in the work context.
The manager who led the initiative summed it up clearly: his goal was not to “teach” the team something, but simply to enjoy a carefree day together. The underlying belief is that a manager should provide guidelines and spaces for autonomy, not impose rules that risk stifling enthusiasm and innovation.
A philosophy that represents us
If we had to sum up this day in a single word, it would be: worth repeating. And in fact, a new initiative is already planned for the fall, designed for a group of colleagues ready to get involved once again.
This spontaneous and human approach to team building reflects well who we are as a company: an organization that puts people at the center, convinced that the value of the team is never just the sum of individuals, but the result of shared energies, relationships, and passions.
A thank you to Silvio and his team for sharing this initiative: a simple gesture that turned into a valuable opportunity to strengthen bonds and experience something out of the ordinary together.
As we also share on our About Us page, we believe that our strength comes from collaboration and from the ability to build an environment where everyone can feel part of something greater. Days like this are the concrete proof of it.
